On 25 June, the Chinese Embassy in PNG held a themed briefing on “The 105 Years of CPC and the 50 years of China-PNG Relationship”. Chinese Ambassador to PNG H.E. Yang Xiaoguang attended the briefing and delivered a keynote speech. Representatives from PNG government, political parties, think tanks, and universities, as well as journalists from mainstream media, participated in the event.

Ambassador Yang reviewed the great achievements of the Communist Party of China over the past 105 years since its founding, introduced the strategic moves of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and stressed that the Party remains committed to serving the people wholeheartedly, upholding independence, promoting the Party's self-reform, and maintaining a global vision, leading the Chinese people in accomplishing the great leap from standing up and growing prosperous to becoming strong, while actively sharing development opportunities with the world. Over the past 50 years since China and PNG established diplomatic relations, bilateral cooperation in various fields has yielded fruitful results. China looks forward to joining hands with all sectors of PNG to deepen the China-PNG comprehensive strategic partnership.

The attendees highly praised the governance achievements of the Communist Party of China, and expressed their hope to learn from China's experience, deepen practical cooperation between the two countries, and bring more tangible benefits to the two peoples.
